Dive Resort Reviews And Things To Know

By Henry Mitchell

Dive resorts provide a place for enthusiasts to enjoy their hobby. This where you can also learn to scuba and go on guided dive trips at certain locations. They also have shops and centers where you can buy equipment and scuba gear.

Divers frequent different places to find for the best one and Bonaire is such a place. If you want to know how great the place is, you can read Bonaire dive resort reviews to check it out. It includes dive spots that are on the shore which gives you an opportunity that is unique to dive the same place again and again and other different sites as well.

Depending on the preferences you have, there are four different major areas you can choose to go. The sections on the north have surrounding reef and gentler slopes which makes it easier dives. The south sections have stronger current than usual and are deeper with steeper drops. The east site is a washing machine usually and the nearby island provides better clarity of vision compared to the mainland because of it having no runoff.

The island is popular for its shore diving which is simple and foreseeable and not that deep. There are fewer currents, nothing large in the water which may harm you and the sites have good marked signs. Different spots that caters to different level of diving expertise and preferences are available.

Huge yellow rock marks the location of a diving spot and its name is painted on the rock as well which makes it easy to notice. You may drive around the island and stop on one then check the guide description of it and give it a go if you liked what you read. You could access sites near the hotels from piers and stairs leading down to the ocean.

Leaving your valuables inside the rented car unattended is not advisable. Reports have been made of some things being stolen when left inside rental cars. If you do not want to leave those things in your hotel, you could take turns in guarding it or use a waterproof bag instead.

A typical day depends on if you are doing shore dives, boat dives or both. You can do it any time you want and most packages allows you to check out many tanks. The amount of dives that you could do in a day is really dependent on the energy you have and the time spent at the bottom.

You have to follow the rules they have when you go down because the people there are very defensive of their island and its reefs. A warning will be given the first that you are caught touching or caught destroying a reef and the second time you do it, they will take you out the sea. It is also strictly not allowed to take anything from the sea including seashells.

You can usually be able to dive any time of the year because of the great weather they usually experience. A hurricane may hit once in a while and usually between the months of June and November. There are damaged shallow reefs that were caused by previous hurricanes.
